Check before travelling
Read the latest organiser update before leaving and know how changes or cancellations will be announced. Weather may affect transport as well as the site. Give yourself a realistic arrival window instead of rushing through the last part of the journey.
Keep dry things separate
Pack clean layers and a towel in a separate bag. Choose weather-appropriate clothing and review manufacturer guidance for your equipment. If conditions become uncomfortable or the marshals pause play, use that time to get warm, drink water, and regroup.
Have a second plan
A cancelled session does not have to mean a wasted weekend. Meet the group for lunch, visit a local shop, or use the time to organise equipment. The best plan is one that gives everyone room to make a sensible decision.
